FINISHING PREP TECHNICIAN

OBJECTIVE

To perform the duties of a Paint Prep Technician with precision and efficiently in order to preserve labor and materials. To be driven by your results; achieving a consistently excellent paint finish on each assigned work order.  

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

  • Perform tasks in a safe and proficient manner at all times
  • Positively support and work with other departments as a team
  • Support, maintain, and build the Lean Culture
  • Experience with the proper application of finishes with various types of spray equipment

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Knowledge of the proper prep methods and time they should take
  • Knows how to properly sand and prep for paint
  • Knows how to properly sand and featheredge surface for primer
  • Able to properly block for refinishing
  • Follow vendors procedures to maintain all tools and requirement
  • Maintain a clean and organized work space
  • Adheres to all requirements hazardous waste disposal
  • Directing and assisting department personnel as needed to accomplish team goals.
  • Verifying proper procedures are being followed to maintain product specification within our quality standards.
  • Informing management of labor needs and/or problems related to production
  • Maintaining cross team communication
  • Complying with all OSHA and MOSH regulations

JR. MECHANIC

OBJECTIVE

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Field Operations and managed by the installation manager and supervising mechanic, you will provide support to the Field Operations Department, as well as secondary support for the field operations team.  Jr. Mechanic will be responsible to maintain the Field Operations Code of Conduct, professionally and efficiently perform daily Jr. Mechanic duties, and work closely with their immediate supervising mechanic.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

  • Provide full support to the Lead Mechanic.
  • To maintain a clean work vehicle and work area.
  • To learn and acquire the skills necessary to become a lead mechanic.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Uphold Field Operations Code of Conduct among fellow mechanics and helpers.
  • Ensure morning loading and departure is done safely and efficiently.
  • Support to maintain a safe and clean vehicle.
  • Assist in the loading/unloading of daily material from vehicles.
  • Maintain current installation apprentice duties.

NETWORK OPERATIONS TECHNICIAN

OBJECTIVE

As the Network Operations Technician, under the supervision of the Director – GM / Network Operations, you will assist in first-level troubleshooting and monitoring. Maintaining client satisfaction with a goal of 100% uptime and regular updates. You are responsible for resolving customer complaints for both software and hardware. You will work with and coordinate technical support within our team as well as 3rd party vendors. On an ongoing basis, you are responsible for achieving our goal and instilling the attitude of our customers better love us throughout the client relationship, but most importantly post install.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Communicate effectively to translate technical knowledge into action
  • When he/she does not have an answer, must know how to research the problem and come up with a solution
  • Work together to create new strategies and make improvements
  • Regularly monitor client’s equipment to quickly resolve any issues that may arise
  • Maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries and adhere to all service management principles
  • Publish support documentation to assist staff and clients with requests for information and provide training as needed
  • Provide stats for the weekly Service Desk reports on call trends
  • Support Network Operations by fixing client system problems remotely with various remote-control software programs and supporting ALL software and hardware provided
  • Up to 20% travel, sometimes on a last-minute basis. Local, out-of-state, and international may be required depending on the location of the service and ability to work outside of regularly scheduled hours

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong software and technical knowledge
  • Strong AV, computer, digital and hardware knowledge

DIGITAL AV TECHNICIAN

OBJECTIVE

Digital AV Technician provide skilled field digital service & installation based on the schedule of assigned projects from the Service Coordinator.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Work directly with customers to investigate, troubleshoot, and diagnose technical product problems
  • Possess excellent problem-solving skills to develop root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Provide written customer ready documentation of all analysis performed with root cause/corrective actions identified
  • Must be highly responsive and capable of effectively communicating with customers, peers, and managers within engineering, operations and other teams
  • Evidence of logical thought processes and problem solver
  • Familiarity with LED and digital products
  • Knowledge of LED modules, sending/receiving cards, ribbon cables, etc.
  • Familiarity with network connectivity and communication devices
  • Working knowledge of AV equipment and experience in AV industry
  • Must have good troubleshooting skills
  • Capable of working without direct supervision
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and calibration assignments
  • Provide technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives regarding installation, operation, repair and maintenance
  • Responsible for trouble shooting of audio visual equipment
  • Perform administrative functions; such as writing service reports, ordering materials, preparing job survey reports, time sheet and expense sheets on a complete timely, and thorough basis
  • Verifies the accuracy of stock material levels on Service vehicles
  • Determines that appropriate and accurate equipment and materials have been loaded to complete assigned service projects
  • Ability to climb ladders and work in heights
  • Assists with service and/or maintenance performed by Senior Service Technicians on assigned service vehicles, e.g., cleaning, equipment and vehicle maintenance
  • Perform set up/clean-up of site area
  • Perform service and/or installation of digital displays
  • Assist with installation services when required
  • Adheres to all company standard operating procedures
  • Daily update of CDL mileage/hours log if applicable
  • Monitors and ensures the use of all safety regulations, requirements and equipment are being used and employed while working on all project job sites
  • Perform additional assignments as required by the needs of the team, company, or as directed by the company
  • Coordinate projects with all interfacing teams to reduce overall turnaround time
  • Travel, both local and out-of-state, may be required depending on the location of the service and ability to work outside of regularly scheduled hours
  • Test and make suggestions for new technologies that can be used within the team
  • Service related items including trouble shooting client systems and networks
  • Service and repair large format LED displays and LCD displays
  • Assist Service Manager with training of new hires and helpers
  • 1-3 years of previous related “hands-on” installation and service of digital and traditional sign experience
  • Prefer 1-3 years of previous related “hands-on” Audio/Visual hardware, installation, and service experience
